KAROON DAM III – EXCAVATION & CONSOLIDATION OF A PART OF WATER TUNNEL, TRANSITIONS, VERTICAL PART OF SHAFTS, PENSTOCKS, ADITS, ETC

DESCRIPTION:

In Karoon Dam III project, two portal intakes for the first stage of the operation and also one portal intake for the development project of the relevant power plant are constructed.

Two intake tunnels, which are connected to four water tunnels through two bifurcations, finally arrive at four shafts, and the water required for the power plant of Karoon Dam III is transferred through these two tunnels.

• Volume of Underground Excavation: 110,000.- cubic meters

• Shotcrete Area: 50,000.- square meters
